Aldershot boss Terry Brown is hoping to see the Shots start a profitable FA Cup run when they face Forest Green Rovers in the fourth qualifying round.
Brown admitted that the Nationwide Conference was the club's main priority going into the season, but after a fine start, cup success has become more important.
He told the News & Mail: "Before we would have been happy with consolidation and good runs in the FA Cup and FA Trophy.
"Now we have something else to play for in the league and we can turn our attentions to the Cup, which can financially enable us to kick on to a new level.
"This is a big game for us as it presents an excellent opportunity to enjoy a nice run and get our finances in order."
