Aldershot Town boss Terry Brown is in an upbeat mood ahead of his side's Nationwide Conference play-off tie with in-form Hereford United.
The Bulls won their last 11 games of the season to finish second in the table, while Town stumbled over the finishing line by taking just two points from their final five games.
However, Brown insists that none of that is relevant to the two sides' chances of winning promotion to the Football League.
"It's a clean slate now, it doesn't matter if you finish 20 points ahead of anybody and we'll be looking to take advantage of it," he told the News & Mail.
"We've had two very close games with Hereford. We were really unlucky at their place, (but in the) home game we were at sixes and sevens and they deserved to win.
"We know it's going to be hard, they're on a fantastic run but they will feel a bit of pressure won't they? Anything now will be a double bonus.
"The players are not going to get bigger games than this. There will be two full houses and the atmosphere will be fantastic.
"The first one is always an awful game, a very nervy affair, and I wouldn't mind betting it will go down to the last 15 minutes at Hereford in the second game."
