Brown unhappy with away draw

Aldershot Town manager Terry Brown has bemoaned his side's luck after the Shots were handed an FA Trophy fourth round clash against Blyth Spartans.

Aldershot face a long journey to Northumberland for the game and Brown is not relishing the trip.

"I'm really disappointed with the draw," he told the club's official website.

"We had really hoped for a home tie so we could build up interest with our fans for a run in the competition and make some money in gate receipts.

"I think Blyth are the most northerly side remaining in the competition and I can see this tie actually costing the club money.

"It's a lot further than Morecambe and that is considered a long trip.

"With the lack of money in the game I'm still struggling to understand the rationale at de-regionalising the competition at this stage.

"I suppose it's easy to say that when you've just been drawn away to Blyth, but I've thought it for some time."
