Aldershot boss Terry Brown admitted that his side were fortunate to earn a point from their 1-1 draw with Barnet on Friday night.
A late Jon Challinor goal ensured that the two promotion hopefuls shared the spoils, with Brown impressed by the visitors to The Rec.
He told the News & Mail: "It took Barnet about 15 minutes to get going, but once they had got into their stride they put us under pressure for half an hour.
"We then started very brightly again in the second half, but the goal didn't come.
"Barnet began to kill the game, but we stuck at it before Jon Challinor came up with the goal."
Of the challenge to come in the weeks ahead, Brown added: "We will all try and put pressure on Chester, but our most realistic chance of promotion would be through the play-offs."
