Aldershot News reporter Jon Couch has revealed that Ross Worner has been ruled out for up to four weeks with a back injury.
The 21-year-old stopper limped off at half-time of the 4-1 victory over Barnet last weekend and scans this week determined the extent of the injury.
“It was quite a bad one,” boss Dean Holdsworth explained. “He’s having further tests this week but we’re not expecting him back for a good month.”
Holdsworth, however, insists the blow is softened by the fitness and form of understudy Jamie Young, who is now set for a run in the team, just weeks after he almost left the club in the January transfer window.
