Aldershot Town face a trip to former Premiership side.

Aldershot Town will travel to Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers for their First Round Capital One Cup tie after this mornings draw was made.

The tie will be played on the week commencing the 13th August, although the Football League will give consideration to matches to be played on 11th or 12th August if mutually agreed between competing clubs.

Speaking to the clubs official website after the draw was made, Shots boss Dean Holdsworth said: "This is fantastic news. There has been so much work occurring at the club during the close season and this is more good news.

"Last season's run in the competition was a great experience for everybody concerned and it gave the club a huge lift.

"To be paired to play a club who were a Premier League team just last season will be another occasion for supporters, players and management to look forward to.  I am delighted for everybody concerned."

Last season was a huge success for the Shots after boss Holdsworth steered his side to the last 16 after securing victories against higher league opposition, West Ham United, Rochdale and Carlisle United.
