Former Shots forward Peter Vincenti has left the club to remain in League Two.

Aldershot Town Football Club have confirmed that Peter Vincenti has played his last game for the club after he agreed a two-year deal with League Two side AFC Rochdale.

The 26-year old joined The Shots from Stevenage in January 2011 and was one of a few players to come out of last season’s disastrous campaign with any credit, but with the club in administration players not being paid and relegation looming the lure to remain in the Football League is understandable.

Speaking to his clubs official website, Dale manager Keith Hill said:  “I’m excited by this one.

“As soon as I knew that Peter was interested in coming to Rochdale I jumped on it.

"He will fit comfortably in our environment, there’s a great potential from the player and he’s 100% committed. He’s a good technician but he can take the length of the pitch out of the opposition with his running skills.”

Peter will leave the club at the end of his current contract on Sunday 30th June and start with his new employers on Monday 1st July.

Everyone connected to the Stray Shots wish Peter all the very best for his future career and would like to thank him for his efforts while with The Shots.
