Aldershot Town sign two players on loan.

Goalkeeper Jonathan Henly and defender Dan Butler have joined the club in loan deals.

19-year old Henly arrives at the club from Sky Bet Championship side Reading and is described as a talented young 'keeper who has regularly featured for the Royals` under-21 side.

Having graduated from the club’s Academy set-up, he has continued his development under the watchful eye of coach Sal Bibbo and has trained alongside the likes of Adam Federici, Alex McCarthy, Stuart Taylor and Mikkel Andersen.

Butler, who is also 19, is a product of Pompey's youth system who penned his first professional contract in the summer of 2012.

The left-back made his senior debut in a Capital One Cup defeat at Plymouth a few months later and became a regular in the side following a successful loan spell at Conference South side Havant & Waterlooville and has made a total of eighteen first-team appearances for the South Coast club.

Speaking about Butler, Shot boss Andy Scott said: "Portsmouth have helped us out with Dan, he played a lot of games in League One last season.

"We need to strengthen the squad and he can play in several positions, which is also beneficial to us. He's got good ability and he can help us with a bit more experience and solidity."

Both players are expected to be available for this weekend’s trip to Chester.
