Troy Looking To Prove Himself

Rotherham United defender Troy Brown has told the media that he is hoping to be able to prove his ability.

Rotherham United defender Troy Brown has spoken to BBC Radio Surrey today, following his first training session with his new team-mates and has said that he is looking forwards to being able to prove himself.

Speaking to the station he said:  “I moved to a new club in the summer [Rotherham United from Ipswich Town] and things haven’t quite worked out for me so I’ve come here [to Aldershot] to prove them wrong and prove to myself that I can perform at this level and definitely levels higher.

“I’m from the south of England and moving up north was quite big move for me so I’ve come back down and to be around family and friends is quite good for me and I’ve never had that before so I can only see it as a positive so hopefully I can get my head down and play well.

“I’ve played games in the Championship and I didn’t disgrace myself and I could have stayed at Ipswich but I took the option to come down to get games and gain experience is a great opportunity and I’m grateful for it.”

Meanwhile, Millers boss Andy Scott has told the media: "He's had a bit of a stop-start season what with going away with Wales and coming back and not getting in the side, so we feel this is a good move for him to get some games in before the end of the season.

"We'll re-assess it again in the summer.  There's been a bit of an issue withhim settling up north so going back down south to play games will hopefully re-ignite his desire to play some football.

"Hopefully he'll do well enough and want to come back and play for us."
