Cherries striker Jayden Stockley teamed up with The Shots yesterday and joined in with their light training session with a view to joining the League Two outfit on a temporary basis, as local news paper the Bournemouth Echo had predicted earlier in the week.
With The Shots desperate to boost their firepower manager Dean Holdsworth sees Stockley as the player to fit the bill following his recent successful stint with rivals Accrington Stanley.
In two months at the Crown Ground, Stockley scored three goals and contributed two assists in six starts and four substitute appearances.
With a first-team place far from guaranteed at Seward Stadium, the teenage frontman again looks set to look elsewhere is a bid to get game time.
Discussing the possibility of Stockley joining Aldershot, Bradbury told the Daily Echo: “I think it is perfect for him.
“He went away from his family for a couple of months over the Christmas and New Year period and scored goals and did well up in Accrington.
“He came back and has not been in the squad, so I think I owe it to him to give him the option to go out again. He wants to play games.”
Handed his Cherries debut as a 16-year-old schoolboy in October 2009, Stockley was then given a five-year contract before being fast-tracked into the senior set-up by then-manager Eddie Howe.
He opened his Cherries goals account with a double in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy victory over Hereford United earlier this season, but has been restricted to eight substitute appearances for the Dorset club this term.
