Small snatches point for Shots

02 November 2010 22:30
Wade Small struck a dramatic late goal to earn Aldershot a 2-2 draw against Hereford. The Shots raced into the lead in the 20th minute when Jermaine McGlashan beat Hereford keeper Adam Bartlett from close range. The Bulls levelled five minutes later, though, when Richard Rose headed home James McQuilkin's corner. And, after the Shots missed a couple of good chances, Joe Colbeck put Hereford in front just before the interval with a rasping low shot from the edge of the penalty. The end-to-end nature of the game continued after the interval and Aldershot were left thanking keeper Jamie Young as he denied Stuart Fleetwood. Hereford keeper Bartlett also denied McGlashan, before Small converted Luke Guttridge's cross to earn Aldershot a well-earned point.
