Skipper urges Shots to thrive on promotion pressure

Captain Anthony Charles insists Aldershot should relish the pressure of increased expectations ahead of the new campaign. The Shots secured a League Two play-off spot last season, losing to Rotherham in the semi-finals. And Charles has set his sights on another push for promotion ahead of Saturday's opening-day clash at Accrington. He told the club's official website: "There may be pressure on us due to what we achieved last season, but we must try to enjoy that. "You have to be able to step onto the pitch in a positive frame of mind. As professional footballers we are a lucky bunch and we need to realise that and not take it for granted. "One day, when I finish playing, I want to look back and know that I did enjoy it and have some good memories."
