Shots Sign Tonkin
Aldershot Town have signed 32-year old defender Anthony Tonkin. Former Yeovil Town, Crewe Alexandra, Stockport County, Cambridge United and Oxford United defender Anthony Tonkin has agreed to join The Shots on a one-year contract. Speaking to the clubs official website, boss Dean Holdsworth said: "Anthony is extremely experienced and a solid defender too. He is a good addition to the squad and I am really looking forward to working with him." The much travelled player has also featured on loan for Grays as well as fitting in one season with Forest Green Rovers. The signing will raise concerns that fans favourite Ben Herd may be leaving the club as the highly rated defender is not yet believed to have agreed a new contract with the club.
