Aldershot Town release players to help make cuts needed.

Administrators have apparently confirmed that thirteen Aldershot Town players have had their contracts terminated today as they bid to cut the costs at the debt ridden club.

Although there has been no official announcement as yet, the local BBC media have reported that the news will be available on their breakfast news a just six players remain on the books.

With most of those released believed to be those with fewer than four weeks left on their contracts, a BBC Tweet stated: “Players with year left of deal are part of £300,000 Football creditors estimate. Full details on @BBCSurrey breakfast #ATFC” however Ollie Lancashire who earlier said that he had recently signed a two-year deal took to Twitter stating that he has been released having received a telephone call.
