Shots boss eyes improvement

Aldershot manager Dean Holdsworth had mixed emotions about his side`s 2-2 draw at league leaders Chesterfield. It had looked like Tim Sills` second-half double would give the Shots victory, but the Spireites equalised late on to rescue a point. "We never really imposed ourselves in the first half against a good side. I felt the occasion was getting to us but I asked the team at half time if they had character," said Holdsworth. "They came out and showed everything I think they have got and they are hurting because we have gone 2-1 up and we have allowed a little bit of unprofessionalism where we have run out and not waited for the ball to be cleared. "That's a little lesson for all the of the squad so they are disappointed but they are happy, we have come to the league leaders and got something from the game and deserved to do so. "We scored two good goals, we put the ball in the danger area and the ability to not let our heads go down and believe in ourselves was pleasing. "I think in spells we saw a decent side but we have also shown that little bit of weakness that we will need to learn from quickly."
