Players Return But Reserve Fixtures May Cause Headache

Shots manager Kevin Dillon has been speaking to the clubs official website, www.theshots.co.uk giving a mid-week round-up. With this weeks Reserve team fixture against Leyton Orient being postponed this week, Shots manager Keving Dillon has told the clubs official website www.theshots.co.uk that he was disappointed that the match couldn't be played as it would have given some of his plaers some much needed match practice ahead of this weekends trip to Macclesfield Town. Speaking to the site he said: "It was a set back that the game was cancelled as it was an opportunity for some players to have an important 90 minutes, especially with people such as Dave Winfield who is now fit and available after his recent injury." Dillon also expressed his concern with a second Reserve fixture falling foul to circumstances beyond the clubs control with the decision to postpone the fixture against Eastbourne Borough due to their involvement in their County Cup competition continuing, "The problem with reserve team fixture being cancelled late on in the season means that you have a back log of fixtures at the end of the season which is not ideal." Meanwhile, the Shots boss confirmed that club captain Anthony Charles will beging training again on Thursday and shoudl be available for selection at the weekend should there be no reaction to the knock he picked up against Darlington, while Andy Sandell is set to return to training next week.   Picture with thanks to Ian Morsman.
