Shots management sign new contracts.

Aldershot Town manager Andy Scott and assistant Terry Bullivant have both been handed new contracts by the club.

Despite the club sitting in the relegation zone, the club have started the season well and had it not been for the ten-point deduction, would lay just outside the top ten in the division.

The pari, who took charge at the ESS Stadium in February this year, have signed new deals running until the summer of 2016.

Speaking about the new contracts, Shots Chairman Shahid Azeem told the media:  “The board of directors are thrilled that both Andy and Terry have signed these three-year contracts.

“We were very keen to keep them both for the long-term, we enjoy working with them and know that we can trust them.

“The club’s problems over the summer have been well documented but Andy and Terry were so committed to our vision for the football club that they wanted to stay despite the sacrifices they had to make.

“They have always been open and honest with us, and we wanted to reward them for their loyalty. We greatly respect their abilities, and in building foundations for the future we believe that Andy and Terry are the men who can take the club forward.”

Scott is delighted to have put pen-to-paper on the new deal and added:  “After our conversations over the summer, we were never in any doubt that this was something the board wanted to do.

“There was a trust there and everything was agreed pretty quickly.  It’s great that we’ve got the backing of the board and can now concentrate on moving up the League.”
