Morgan's just desserts
Aldershot manager Kevin Dillon hailed matchwinner Marvin Morgan after his side's 1-0 home win over Southend.
Morgan pounced after Southend goalkeeper Glenn Morris had failed to hold on to Antony Straker's shot to shoot home an 81st-minute winner.
Dillon said: "Marvin deserved his goal. He was getting a bit bashed around, but he persevered and it paid off for him. You could see from his celebration that he enjoyed it.
"When we scored they changed their tactics and I think that's something we will see a lot of this season, but it's up to us to move the ball a bit quicker than we did.
"I've had a look at the possession stats and it was about 70% to 30% in our favour, but we didn't create as many chances as we should have done.
"After we got the goal we did create a few more chances, but this is the first time we have played like this and I'm happy we have the players here to do that."
