Morgan set for Shots stay

Aldershot manager Kevin Dillon is confident of keeping hold of striker Marvin Morgan for the rest of the season after revealing that Colchester could not match his valuation. The League One side were keen to take Morgan - who hit 16 goals for the Shots last season - but declined to make an offer and Dillon will now have the targetman available for this weekend`s game at Accrington Stanley. Dillon told Get Hampshire: "Colchester went about things the right way. There was none of the palaver and skulduggery we've had on occasions from Wycombe. "I had a good chat with Colchester's manager John Ward on the phone and he told me that he was interested in Marvin and that my chairman would be getting a call from his chairman. John wanted me to know the situation. "The chairmen did speak and Colchester asked what our valuation was for Marvin and, when they heard it, they said they would leave things there, wished us well for the season, and would not be making a bid. "Marvin is just too valuable to us. Our system suits him and he has had his best ever pre-season and is looking more and more powerful."
