Shots keeper Ross Worner has signed a new contract with the club.

22-year old Shots keeper Ross Worner has extended his contract with the club.

Having joined the club in the summer the shot stopper told the clubs official website:  "I want to stay at Aldershot Town.

"It is a good club who I want to play for.  I didn't expect to play as soon as I did when I arrived in the summer but it has been a big period for me and I have gained some great experiences in a short space of time.

"It has been fully enjoyable and I am here because I want the club to push on. The club has ambition and we have a great Goalkeeping Coach in Ashley Bayes."

Manager Dean Holdsworth added, "Ross has a big future in football if he carries on the way he is.

"Ashley [Bayes] has been superb with all our goalkeepers and is an important part of our staff.  This is another positive move for the club as we look to the future."

The new deal will keep the player at the club until the end of the 2013-14 season.
