Injury Blow To Captain

Shots defender faces long term injury blow. Out of contract Shots defender Anthony Charles could be out for up to nine months following the injury he suffered in the final stages of the 2010-11 season League Two fixture against Lincoln City. Reports are that the Shots captain has suffered an injury to his cruciate ligament and that he was operated on last week, but in an official announcement on the clubs website today, the club have stated that the injury is being fully assessed by the club. Physio Nick Brink, along with the help of external consultants who are assessing the extent of the injury, are working on a rehabilitation programme to benefit the players return to fitness but with the player out of contract,and money inshort supply at the club, his future remains in doubt.
