Injury Blow For Shots

Aldershot Town will face a large part of the remainder of the 2010-11 season without star signing Alex Rodman. Shots manager Dean Holdsworth has told the clubs official website www.theshots.co.uk that Alex Rodman will be out for up to six weeks. Speaking ahead of his sides trip to second placed Wycombe Wanderers today, the boss said: “We had a scan done on Alex, we felt it was just a strain at first but did the right thing and had it checked out and it’s come back that he’s got a slight tear in his soleus, which is a calf injury, and he’s probably going to be out for four to six weeks. “It’s a big disappointment for us and a loss to the team. “The freshness of his play and he was embracing playing in the team and he really did give us a lot of quality so it is a big loss for us.”
