Holdsworth frustrated with the fog

Aldershot manager Dean Holdsworth agreed with referee Chris Sargison's decision to call the clash with Barnet off at half-time with the scores level at 1-1. Mark Marshall's stunning 25-yard shot flew into the top corner after nine minutes, giving Barnet the lead, but Aldershot were in the ascendancy at the interval following Darius Charles' equaliser after 30 minutes. Holdsworth said: "We wouldn't have wanted a controversial decision to affect the game and supporters wanted value for money tonight and if the game had gone on, they wouldn't have got it. "Unfortunately, the decision is taken out of our hands by the fog and the decision of the referee. He had lost his buzzer with his linesman which was one of the key factors. "The goal that was disallowed went in off a Barnet player. There was a big decision there. The linesman had his flag up for an earlier first phase/second phase foul. "But he felt he couldn't see across the park which I can't really disagree with him too much. He didn't want to make the wrong decision and an injury to happen. In hindsight, it might be the right thing to do but it's a disappointment."
