Aldershot Town legend feels for the fans.

Former Shots captain Ben Herd, who was one of the thirteen players to be made redundant by the club recently, has told Aldershot News reporter Jon Couch that he is shocked by the way that he has been treated by the club following their drop from the Football League and subsequent administration.

“It’s extremely poor how it’s all been handled to be honest,” the 27-year-old told the paper.

“The only correspondence I’ve had from the club since all this came out was one phone call from the club’s administrator to tell me I’ve been made redundant.

“I’ve been at the club for four years, I genuinely love the place and think I’ve been a good servant here.

"It would have been nice to hear it from someone else at the club that we are familiar with and worked alongside.”
