Halted run humbles Holdsworth

Aldershot boss Dean Holdsworth was left to rue a below-par performance from his side who saw their 10-match unbeaten run ended with a 2-1 defeat to Burton. Calvin Zola bagged the winner after Damien Spencer had cancelled out Aaron Webster's opener as the Brewers moved five points clear of the drop zone. "We have not achieved the same standards as we have in the previous 10 games, and we were punished," he said. "They are fighting for their lives and scrapping for everything, but on the day their front two were the difference. "My players are playing for something, they are playing for their careers - they are playing for my opinion on their performances. "I'm bitterly disappointed that we lost the game. I'm not one to point fingers out the dressing room - we win together and lose together. I know that the players are disappointed with their performances and the standard they got to was nowhere near where they were when we played Shrewsbury last week."
