Dillon: We were unlucky

Aldershot manager Kevin Dillon felt his side were unfortunate to be knocked out of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy by League One Bristol Rovers. The Shots were left to rue a missed penalty from Luke Guttridge in the 62nd minute which would have given them the lead, as Will Hoskins' last-gasp strike secured victory for the Pirates. "I ran over a black cat in my car the other day - it must have been that because we were so unfortunate," said Dillon. "I think that the winning goal went in off the lad's, well, let's say the ball hit him between his legs. "We must have had a dozen corners and missed a penalty. That's the second one we have missed and the next time we won't be placing the shot, we'll be blasting it. "Their goalkeeper has done brilliantly. I'm very proud of our lads and the football we played. I keep telling people we have a great squad. The higher the standard of the opposition, the better we play."
