Aldershot Town have bolstered their midfield with the signing of former York, Exeter and Morecambe player Emmanuel Panther. The 26 year-old Glaswegian, born to Nigerian parents, arrives on an initial one-year contract, following his release by Exeter City. A dynamic and domineering central midfielder, Panther is a familiar face to Aldershot fans, with eight previous appearances against his new club. Panther played for St Johnstone, Partick and Brechin before moving to England. Despite suffering a potentially career-ending knee injury in 2002, he has made over 200 first team appearances, including 19 games in Morecambe’s run to the League Two Play-Offs last season.
