Dillon looking for improvement

Manager Kevin Dillon was pleased with Aldershot`s second-half display but insists his side need to produce for the whole 90 minutes following the 3-1 defeat to Crewe. Aldershot had a penalty shout turned down before goals from Byron Moore and Joel Grant put Crewe in control. Anthony Straker pulled one back for Aldershot in the second-half but Ashley Westwood put the result beyond doubt. "I wasn't happy with the way we played in the first half but we made some changes and the lads were outstanding after the break," said Dillon. "They were hanging on at the end. We had 17 attempts and spent the last 20 minutes camped in their half and they were panicking but we just couldn't get the goal. "But I'm disappointed with the result and the players need to take a long, hard look at themselves. We are trying to get ourselves out of the fourth division and it's not good enough if they can't play at this level for 90 minutes. "I have faith in this team but it was really poor and stupid defending for the goals and the lads are better than that."
