Dillon focused on strengthening squad

Aldershot manager Kevin Dillon has promised to be more ruthless in the transfer market as he battles to assemble a squad in time for the start of the npower League Two season. The Shots have lost a host of players this summer while signing just two new squad members so far but Dillon is confident of landing more in the coming days. He said: "The focus is now on the concentration of bringing new players into the club. "The difficulties of the past couple of weeks where players were not letting me know if they were going to commit themselves provided obstacles because there were good targets available that I could have gone for. "There will be no waiting for decisions from players in future. They will have to respond by a certain time or that will be it. "It has been a busy couple of days and we have certainly made good progress and I am enthused about the players we are targeting and will be able to update the supporters soon."
