Dillon delighted by Shots success

Aldershot boss Kevin Dillon was pleased with his side after they progressed into the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Second Round with a 2-0 win over Oxford. Danny Hylton drove in a 14-yard shot from Wade Small's pass in the 17th minute to give the Shots the lead. And Damian Spencer wrapped it up 13 minutes into the second half, capitalising when Oxford defender Jake Wright dithered in front of goal. Dillon said: "It was a very, very good performance. "A few of these players have put the pressure on those lads in the first team, but we're unbeaten in the league so I won't be changing it for Saturday. "Danny Hylton was terrific and so was our other scorer, Damian Spencer. But this is no fluke. The players work hard in training and they take that on and into the game. "The back five were boringly good and keeper Jamie Young pulled off a great save late on. He's got a lot of calmness about him and I can see him having a long time in professional football. Oxford's keeper was outstanding. I don't know if he realised just how many saves he made."
