Shots manager makes second close season signing. 27 year-old central defender Aaron Brown has become Dean Holdsworth’s second summer signing. Brown, who was released by Leyton Orient, returns to the EBB Stadium after making 14 appearances for the club under former manager Kevin Dillon at the end of the 2009-10 season, a period which included both League Two Play-Off semi-final matches against Rotherham United. The powerful 6’ 5” defender has previously played for Tamworth, Reading and Yeovil Town, and spent part of 2010-11 on loan at Stockport County. Speaking about his move, Brown told the clubs official website: "I had a really good time when I was here previously and noticed that there was a really good set of people all around the club. "I kept in contact with many of the players too and there was no hesitation for me once I knew that I was wanted. "I am looking looking forward to working with Dean Holdsworth and know that he wants to move the club on too. League Two is a division where any team can beat each other and there is a fine line which makes it competitive. I am looking forward to the challenge." Boss Holdsworth added: "Aaron is excited about joining the club and he was eager to join which is what we want. He can see what we are trying to achieve and wants to do well for himself. "He has great attributes, good stature and will be effective in both boxes too. He knows the club which is important and he is just the type of player that we are looking for."
