Montrose overcame 10-man Albion Rovers with a solitary-goal win at Links Park.The home side took the lead after 14 minutes when Kevin Bradley's corner was headed down by Hugh Davidson to Gordon Pope, who fired home. Albion came close to levelling when Bobby Barr's shot was turned away by goalkeeper Tony Bullock.
