Clyde 0-1 Albion: Report

22 February 2011 22:54
Albion crank up pressure on leaders Albion moved within one point of Scottish Third Division leaders Arbroath as Christopher Boyle's 19th-minute goal gave them a 1-0 win over 10-man Clyde. Boyle converted John Gemmill's cross from close range to keep Clyde 10 points adrift of second-bottom East Stirling. It could have been more for Rovers but Chris Hamilton's 90th-minute penalty, given after John Sweeney had been dismissed for a foul on Robert Love, was saved by Bryn Halliwell. The home side dominated the match with Gemmill squandering two chances in the first half, while Halliwell also denied Love. Clyde's only efforts of note came in the second period when Kevin Finlayson's 25-yard effort was saved by Thomas Flynn.
