Young calls for clinical Albion

Mark McGuigan is unavailable for Albion Rovers after being stretchered off in Tuesday night's Petrofac Training Cup defeat at Stranraer with a spinal problem, although it is not as serious as first feared.

Albion are looking to bounce back from two defeats in a row by seeing off East Fife at Cliftonhill, with McGuigan the only casualty.

Player/manager Darren Young said: "We have lost to Arbroath and Stranraer by the odd goal so we are not too far away. We are creating chances but not being ruthless enough.

"Hopefully we can show that part of our game against an East Fife side that will be going all out for their first league win."

East Fife player/ manager Gary Naysmith makes his first ever visit to Rovers' Coatbridge ground minus only Cyrus Moosavi who is out long term with a knee problem.

The Fifers made the long trip north to Brora Rangers in midweek and returned home with a 3-2 success in what could be a pivotal result in their season.

Naysmith said: "We went there after two league defeats and fell behind twice but the boys showed great resilience to get the win.

"Hopefully we can take that on to this game as I think this will be a real gutsy game with both sides determined to get a win."
