Albion duo Darren Young and John Gemmell back for visit of Cowdenbeath

Albion player-manager Darren Young and forward John Gemmell return from bans as the Coatbridge side host Cowdenbeath at the fourth time of asking.

Young has no fitness worries to contend with as he looks to steer his side, without a win in three games, back into third place.

He said: "We have done well in our last two games against the top teams in the league. We lost narrowly at Ayr and then drew with Dunfermline and if we play to that kind of level again we can pick up the three points in this one.

"Cowdenbeath will be hurting after losing 7-0 at the weekend so it will not be easy."

New Cowdenbeath defender Fraser Kerr is in line for his debut after serving the three-game ban he picked up during his time at Motherwell.

Kerr is just one of a number of changes player-manager Colin Nish is considering after Saturday's heavy defeat at Peterhead.

Brad Donaldson is a doubt and John Armstrong (hamstring), Jack Beaumont (foot) and Lewis Milne (knee) are out.

Nish said: "We started the game well but after we lost a couple of goals we never looked like staying in the game. It is disappointing as we were on a good run and I am expecting a reaction."
