John Gemmell to miss out for Albion if Cowdenbeath clash gets go-ahead

Albion Rovers will host Cowdenbeath at the third time of asking if their Cliftonhill pitch passes a Tuesday afternoon pitch inspection with John Gemmell missing out if the game gets the go-ahead due to a ban.

Everyone else is available to player/ manager Darren Young who was pleased with his side despite their 1-0 defeat to Ayr United on Saturday.

Young said: "We lost a goal to a move I had warned the players about but to be fair to them it was their only mistake of the day.

"If we can play to that same level against Cowdenbeath then I am sure we will do well."

Cowdenbeath player/manager Colin Nish will decide his team after fitness checks on Brad Donaldson and Gordon Smith, who sustained knocks in Saturday's 3-0 win over Brechin.

Definitely missing is the injured John Armstrong (hamstring), Jack Beaumont (foot) and Lewis Milne (knee) with new signing Fraser Kerr still serving a suspension.

Nish said: "It was a good win at the weekend however we know that we can play better. Albion Rovers will be a real test as they pushed the league leaders all the way at weekend.

"We will need to play better than we did at the weekend which sounds strange when you have won 3-0."
