Rovers boss targets midfield reinforcements before Brechin clash

Albion Rovers will look to get their promotion play-off campaign going again by defeating bottom-of-the-table visitors Brechin City.

However, Andrew Barrowman continues to be out an ankle injury so player/manager Darren Young is looking to add Darren Petrie from Raith Rovers on-loan to his midfield, where he will team up with Spas Georgiev - who has been recruited from Livingston.

Young said: "We are on a disappointing run where every little mistake is getting punished and every attempt on goal is being denied by a super save.

"Things will turn and we will start heading up the way again. Hopefully this game will be the start of that."

Brechin defenders Paul McLean and Darren McCormack are out with hamstring injuries while Ross Perry is absent long term with a knee problem so player/boss Darren Dods looks set to start.

Dods said: "It was disappointing to lose at Stranraer last weekend and then only draw at Stenhousemuir in midweek. We created chances in both games however we never managed to get the ball over the line. However, with the strikers we have that will change.

"Albion Rovers are looking to get back into things in the top half of the table however we will look to delay that."
