Albion's home comforts continue

Albion ensured their 100% start to the season at home continued with a 2-0 victory against winless East Fife.

The hosts took the lead just after 20 minutes when Jamie Pollock punished East Fife for some poor defending before John Gemmell doubled the Wee Rovers' advantage on the stroke of half-time, heading home Kyle Turnbull's corner.

The break did little to stem Albion's flow and Fifers' striker Jon McShane almost put through his own net before seeing the ball come back of the post.

Gemmell wasted an opportunity for his second of the game with a free header as time ticked away before East Fife's slim chance of a late comeback disappeared with substitute Alan Cook's miss from just a few yards out.
