Mixed afternoon for Reid

Alan Reid scored before seeing red as Albion's 100 per cent home record came to a crashing end with a 2-1 defeat to East Stirling.

It looked like business as usual after 11 minutes when the hosts took the lead, albeit through an unlikely source. Reid, who had previously only scored once in over 200 appearances for Rovers, unleashed an unstoppable effort from 30 yards into the top corner.

But East Stirling were back on level terms within nine minutes, David McKenna prodding in after his initial shot had been saved by Neil Parry.

And the visitors took the lead seven minutes before the interval after William Vidler turned in McKenna's cross from the left.

Reid was shown a straight red for hacking down Vidler after 66 minutes, though it took a Richie Barnard save from Marc McKenzie's free-kick to make sure of the points for the visitors.
