Faissal El Bakhtaoui scores late winner for champions Dunfermline

Faissal El Bakhtaoui's 22nd goal of the Ladbrokes League One season nicked a 1-0 victory for champions Dunfermline at Albion.

El Bakhtaoui drew level with Peterhead's Rory McAllister as the division's joint top-scorer, stretching Dunfermline's unbeaten run to 10 games in the process.

Generously given a guard of honour by their opponents before the game, Dunfermline lost defender Craig Reid nine minutes in to injury. He was replaced by Shaun Rooney.

Soon after, Albion keeper Ross Stewart made a fine save from El Bakhtaoui who shot from the centre of the area.

Early in the second period Albion's Spas Georgiev and Dunfermline's David Hopkirk forced saves before the visitors' Ryan Wallace, having cut in from the left, hit the post.

Brad McKay's header from a corner was cleared off the line as Dunfermline continued to press and El Bakhtaoui eventually converted from close range in the 87th minute following a cross from Joe Cardle who soon after struck the post.
