O'Neil boost for beleaguered Airdrie
Airdrie are bidding to win at home for the first time in 15 games and expect Chris O'Neil to be available to help them in their quest against Falkirk.
O'Neil received a knock to the head against Raith last weekend but is expected to play.
Nathan Blockley is expected to recover from an ankle problem but Alan Cook (ankle), Grant Evans (thigh), Gavin Griffin and Paul Di Giacomo (both hamstring) continue to be out, and Jordan Kirkpatrick is a doubt with a knee problem.
Manager Jimmy Boyle said: "We are running out of games to get enough points to climb the table but we will fight on. We are in a habit of losing goals at the end of each half and if we can get out of that then we have a chance against Falkirk."
Falkirk striker Lewis Small, 17, is missing for his side's trip after he injured a shoulder in an Under-20 game on Thursday.
Technical director Alex Smith, who remains in charge as the club look for a new boss, is looking for his side to pick up where they left off against Dunfermline in midweek.
He explained: "We were well beaten by Hamilton last Saturday but the players showed what they are all about on Tuesday night with a terrific performance at East End Park.
"The way they passed the ball about made it the best performance of the season for me. Airdrie will be battling for everything but if we play like we did the other night we will pick up the three points."
