Livi stretch lead with win Livingston extended their lead at the top of the table to nine points with a 2-0 win over Airdrie at the Almondvale Stadium. Iain Russell netted both goals, one in each half, to hand his side a comfortable victory over their mid-table opposition. Livi's top goalscorer netted the opener, his 10th league goal of the season, in the 34th minute when he converted a Kyle Jacobs cross from 12 yards. Kenny Deuchar and Bobby Barr both went close for the home side before Russell netted his second goal of the evening from the penalty spot in the 70th minute. Airdrie defender Kieran Stallard was adjudged to have handled the ball inside the area and Russell stepped up to calmly dispatch the spot-kick.
