Airdrie missing duo

Airdrie are without Chris O'Neill through suspension and John Boyle (knee) through injury as they look to bounce back from Friday night's 6-0 defeat to Rangers by knocking Livingston out of the Scottish League Cup at the Excelsior Stadium.

Manager Jimmy Boyle said: "It will be a contest between two sides that are hurting after defeats at the weekend.

"They will be sore after losing to Falkirk at home whereas we are looking to hit back after a heavy defeat from Rangers.

"We are concentrating on the positives as we had some good play, but Rangers were clinical and punished us at every opportunity."

Livingston could be without seven players after Marc McNulty limped off with a hamstring injury as his side went down to 3-0 to the Bairns.

McNulty joins Mike Mumpaya (ankle), Mark Burchill (calf), Burton O'Brien (toe), Kyle Wilkie (knee), Stefan Scougall (hamstring) and Jack Beaumont (ankle) on the sidelines, but Neil Hastings is available after suspension.

Manager Richie Burke is demanding an improvement as he explained: "We are missing a few bodies but I am looking for a far better performance than we had against Falkirk.

"We know that we are capable of better and hopefully we will see that against a battling Airdrie side."
