Doyle out for Diamonds

Airdrie can secure their League One survival by defeating East Fife at the Excelsior Stadium but they will have to do so without Paddy Doyle.

Doyle is suspended but Diamonds boss Gary Bollan is able to add the fit again Nathan Blockley and Lewis Coult to his squad.

"A win would be a terrific result but overall it is important that we take something from this game to keep a gap on East Fife," said Bollan ahead of Saturday's fixture.

"Whatever we get from this game will need to be hard-earned as they will be fighting for their lives. They also won on their last trip here so we have plenty of reasons for wanting to win this game."

East Fife could recall Ross Brown after an ankle injury.

Brown will undergo a fitness test but Lewis Barr definitely remains out with a knee problem.

Manager Gary Naysmith is looking for his players to cut out mistakes and grab the win that would see them safe from automatic relegation - provided Arbroath lose to Forfar.

"We were leading against Stenhousemuir last week and then failed to mark at a set piece. We also gave away a last-minute penalty and we cannot keep making mistakes," said Naysmith.

"Airdrie are on a good run but a win would pull us very close to them in the race to avoid the play-offs."
