Airdrie youngster right on McCue

Airdrie will bring in youngster Jack McCue from their Under-20 side for the visit of Dunfermline as Bryan Gilfillan and Jim Lister are both ruled out.

Gilfillan is nursing a fractured cheekbone and Lister is struggling with a groin injury.

The Diamonds' play-off bid ended last weekend despite a win at Peterhead and manager Gary Bollan said: "We did well to win at a tough venue like Balmoor although it was not enough to extend our season.

"We have been really strong in the second half of the season, but just fell short.

"We will now look to end our campaign on a high by defeating Dunfermline for a second time at our place this season."

Dunfermline, who announced this week that manager John Potter will be used in a different role next season, will be without the banned Ross Millen for what will be his last game in charge of the Pars first team.

Lewis Spence is an injury doubt but David Hopkirk could return following illness and goalkeeper Ryan Scully could also return after a back problem kept him out of last Saturday's 3-1 defeat to Forfar.

Potter said: "The first half against Forfar was not good enough and we found ourselves three goals down.

"The second half was a lot better and we will look to build on that against Airdrie."
