Lennon in charge for Airdrie against Brechin

Airdrie will have former Cowdenbeath, St Mirren and Alloa manager Danny Lennon in charge against visitors Brechin.

Lennon has agreed to cover for head coach Eddie Wolecki Black, who suffered a stroke last weekend.

The 46-year-old, who has a full squad to choose from, said: "It has been a difficult week for everyone but the players did well in their game against Forfar in midweek. I would not have wished to be back in football in this manner but Eddie and I are close and he has supported the move.

"I worked with the players on Thursday and I am looking forward to taking them against Brechin."

Brechin welcome Gary Fusco back from a ban as they look to give their hopes of avoiding relegation a boost by winning for a third consecutive game.

Andy Jackson returns from injury and will take the place of on-loan Airdrie striker Liam Watt, who cannot feature against his parent club.

Injuries also rule out Darren McCormack (hamstring) and David Weatherson (groin).

Player-manager Darren Dods said: "With Forfar and Cowdenbeath playing each other we know that a win will take us closer to one if not both of them. Our confidence has been lifted by our wins over Forfar and then Ayr and hopefully we can secure another one."
