Lister sinks Stirling

James Lister grabbed a second-half brace as Airdrieonians came from behind to clinch a 4-1 win at home to rock-bottom Stirling.

The visitors had lost their previous five matches, scoring just two goals in the process, but made a dream start when Lewis Coult headed Angus Beith's corner against the post and Ross McGeachie scrambled the ball home in only the third minute.

Airdrie equalised in the 58th minute when goalkeeper Greg Paterson brought down Lister in the box and Bryan Prunty converted the penalty.

The turnaround was completed a minute later when Lister crossed from the left and it evaded everyone and sneaked in at the far post.

Lister added a third in the 80th minute when he punished an under-hit pass and Prunty completed the rout three minutes later after chipping Paterson from close range.
