Airdrie off mark in style

Airdrie secured their first home league win of the season in style with a comfortable 4-0 victory against Brechin.

Midfielder Scott Fraser and defender David Proctor were both on target inside 21 minutes, striker James Lister added a third early in the second half and Nathan Blockley completed the scoring with 14 minutes left .

Fraser struck direct from a free-kick in the third minute after Brechin defender Colin Hamilton had fouled home midfielder Liam Watt.

Former Inverness right-back Proctor put Airdrie two up in the 21st minute when he notched his first goal for the club and Keigan Parker played in Lister, who finished neatly for his third goal in as many matches in the 57th minute.

Watt and midfielder Scott Gray both went close as Airdrie continued to dominate and Blockley made it 4-0 in the 76th minute after being set up by Watt.
