Struggling Stranraer slip to narrow Airdrie defeat
Stranraer remain without a point in the Ladbrokes Scottish League 1 table after a debated Andy Ryan goal condemned them to a 1-0 defeat at Airdrie.
Ryan latched onto a through ball to give the hosts a 26th-minute lead that the away side were clearly unhappy about amid suspicions of offside.
Stranraer twice hit the woodwork during the first half, but only had themselves to blame for not taking something from the game when Craig Malcolm was denied from the penalty spot on the hour.
Airdrie goalkeeper Rohan Ferguson got down to his right to keep out Malcolm's spot-kick and secure a second league win for Airdrie.
