    Wiggins wants Cherries stay

    24 Feb 2010 - 07:31:21

Bournemouth defender Rhoys Wiggins is hoping he can extend his loan stay at Dean Court with his emergency 28-day transfer from Norwich City coming to an end.

He has made a big impact at the League Two high-fliers and manager Eddie Howe has already approached opposite number Paul Lambert as he seeks an extension on his terms.

Speaking to Bournemouth Echo, Wiggins said: "I'm not sure whether it can happen with the transfer embargo. I'll just have to wait and see what Eddie says. Fingers crossed.

"It's a good club so, hopefully, it can get done. I like playing under Eddie and I like playing with this group of players as well.

"We'd have to find out whether Norwich would let it happen as well first, but if the chance was there, I'd jump at it."
